2019 Big E Tickets

Tickets and passes are sold online and at The Big E Box Office. Also sold at Big Y® World Class Market® starting 8/22. All tickets and passes are good for use any one day of the Fair, unless otherwise noted. All prices are subject to change. Please note that midway rides, exhibits, games and Big E Arena premium reserved seats are not included with a general admission ticket.

Need to leave the Fairgrounds? 
Please retain your ticket stub and have your hand stamped on your way out as you will need these two items to re-enter the gates during the same day. 

2019 Photo ID Schedule

Photo IDs will be taken in the Photo ID room located in the Coliseum. Please bring your Photo ID Voucher & State Issued ID with you. Photo ID's WILL NOT be issued without a proper, authorized voucher. Enter the front doors of the Coliseum, take a left and follow the signs.

Pre-Fair Hours:
  • Tues 9/3 from 9am - 5pm
  • Weds 9/4 from 9am - 6:30pm
  • Thurs 9/5, Fri 9/6, and Sat 9/7 from 9am - 5pm
  • Mon 9/9, Tues 9/10, and Weds 9/11 from 9am - 7pm
  • Thurs 9/12 from 9am - 10pm

Official Big E Souvenir Programs

Pick up your official Big E Souvenir Programs for $5 at all Big E gates and Information locations. Programs benefit the Springfield Lodge of Elks to support its programs for the veterans, seniors and youth of Greater Springfield.

ATMS & Information Booths

ATMs can be found along the Avenue of States and inside the Coliseum, Young Building, Better Living Center, Mallary Complex, Food Court and Transportation Center. Machines are also located near the Midway, Flag Plaza, Craft Common, Lost & Found/First Aid, as well as Gates 4, 5 and 7. 

Information personnel are on duty at booths located throughout the grounds to assist guests with questions, comments and concerns. Information booths are located near the Coliseum, across from the New Hampshire and Massachusetts Buildings, Gate 5 and at the Food Court.

Mobility Rentals

Wheelchairs and a limited number of oversized wheelchairs are $15 per day. Electric scooters are $50 per day and may not be available on extremely wet days. Wheelchairs and scooters can be reserved prior to September 13 by calling 1-888-441-7575 or online at Scootaround and rented on the grounds during the Fair at Gates 4 and 9A. Strollers ($10), double strollers and wagons ($15) can also be rented at Gates 4 and 9A.

Fairgrounds Safety

Our Security staff is comprised of Big E Security personnel as well as dedicated members of the West Springfield Police Force. The Security office is located on Hampden Avenue and is open the Monday before Opening Day and throughout the Fair, 24-hours a day. 
Please note that no weapons are allowed on the grounds. Metal detectors are in use at every entrance gate to the fairgrounds and bags are subject to search at gates. 

The full services of the West Springfield Fire Department are available on our grounds 24-hours a day during the Fair at the Fire Station on Hampden Avenue. 

The First Aid Station and the Lost People Center (LPC) is located across from the Fire Station, staffed daily by dedicated, caring professionals. Guests are encouraged to seek assistance from the LPC immediately upon discovering when someone has been separated from their group. The LPC also maintains a waiting area and outside message board for postings. ALL lost and found items should be brought to the LPC. 

Shuttles (Cash Only)

King Ward Coach Lines Big E Shuttles

Amtrak's Hartford Line
  • Take Amtrak's Hartford Line to Union Station in Downtown Springfield, where FREE shuttles will bring guests to the Fair. 8am - 10pm on weekends!

Parking & Camping (Cash Only)

On-site parking is available for $10 in Lot 9, sponsored by Master Spas. Campers are $20/night.

The Big E provides 580 handicapped accessible parking spaces on a first-come, first-served basis. The Gate 9A area is available for drop-off/pick-up of passengers and has a large canvas tent with benches for patrons. 

Parking spaces at Gate 9 are available on a first come, first served basis for the general public with self-contained and pop-up campers for $20 per space/per day. Additional cars and awnings are $10 per space/per day. Visitors with tents are $20 per space/per day with car included. Portable restroom facilities are nearby though no other amenities during Fairtime will be provided.

Service Animals

Service animals, including service animals in training, are allowed through the gates. Fairgoers are not allowed to bring pets or emotional support animals.

What is The Big E?

The Big E is an annual event that begins on the second Friday after Labor Day and runs for 17 days. The Eastern States Exposition is home to the Fair. ESE is not owned by any specific individual or group and is organized as a not-for-profit, educational institution under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Its governing body is a volunteer Board of Trustees consisting of distinguished civic, business and agricultural leaders from each of the six New England states.
