Born and bred in West Medford/Boston area, Drew Dawson has been a part of the WEIB Family from the beginning as Show Host, Operations Management, Sales and more!
Dawson, a 30-year veteran of radio, previously served as host, news anchor and reporter for WGBH-Boston Public Radio, as well as news anchor and features reporter for Virtual News Center. Prior to that, he worked as the operations manager for Metro Networks in Hartford, Conn. and Boston, where he supervised a number of producers and anchors in 14 locations.
Dawson is a National Black Programmer’s Coalition Station of the Year award recipient. As a student at the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University, he began his career at WAER.
